Mrs. Halik wanted to design a building that would accommodate her growing insurance business and up to 3 additional tenants. A unique feature of the building was that she wanted a private garage for her car to be stored inside. Her design idea was to use a unique stone material as part of the arched entries to each of the tenant spaces and as an architectural feature toward the highway. Since economical construction was at the top of her priority list and accommodating plumbing changes for medical tenants was important, we used crawl space construction with wood framing and brick exterior.
